We are natives of Puerto Rico and have been married for 30 years. Both of us are engineers and have three adorable children. They are young adults, fully educated, and living on their own. We reside in the town of Churchville, just north of Baltimore, in state of Maryland.
Right after graduating from College, and before getting married, Ilia worked in private industry for four years. After getting married she worked for the Federal Government for another 12 years.
Jorge, on the other hand, graduated from College and left Puerto Rico to start a career with the Federal Government working for the United States Army. He has been doing it for over 30 years!
During the initial years the challenge to maintain a professional career and raise the children, became a real struggle. Therefore, based on our own set of circumstances, and recognizing the importance of our role as parents, we decided that the best way to raise our children was for Ilia to set aside her professional career and become a full-time stay-at-home homemaker.
This is when our wonderful journey started, which we want to share with all of you in this blog.

“Every Christian home should be a place of peace and serenity. In spite of the small frustrations of daily life, an atmosphere of profound and sincere affection should reign there together with a deep-rooted calm, which is the result of authentic faith that is put into practice.”
St Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer, Christ is Passing By
Our crafts are an expression of our creative spirit. They allow us to use simple materials and tools to give live to an idea for any occasion.
